Abstract
Stimulating team member performance requires a project manager to harness many different interpersonal skills. The level of enthusiasm applied toward project efforts has a direct impact on the project results. Because motivation can inspire, encourage, and stimulate individuals to achieve common goals through teamwork, it is in the project manager's best interest to drive toward project success through the creation and maintenance of a motivating environment for all members of the team.
Background Motivation is the back bone in order to achieve a goal. Through this back bone, there will be an arisen of the desire that will motivate them to achieve the individual goals and objectives.
Team is defining as more than one individual working together under one leader. In a team, there is a hierarchy of organizational, start off with leaders till ordinary members.
The team’s performance has a close connection with motivation. When the leaders have a high motivation, then he is able to motivate his team members to achieve team goals and objectives. There are many ways to motivate the team members as for example, the leader can make team discussions with team members. Leader must communicate and listen to problems and suggestions from team members. A good leader will provide the motivation, enthusiasm, supports and help the team members to go through obstacles. By this way, the relationship between the leader and the team members will be closer and there will be a higher level of motivation in themselves to improve the team’s performance in order to achieve goals and objectives.
Problem statement
If the team lack of motivation, their performance will be decrease.
Research objective
1. Find out the important of motivation to team performance
2. Find out effects positive or negative of motivation to the team performance
Research question
1. How motivation can effect the team performance?
2. What the benefits of motivation to the team performance?

Methodology 1.Data collection
In this research, the method that being used is interview. The person to be interviewed is leader and the employees. The person to be interviewed will be asked some questions regarding to this research and the interview also will be recorded using digital camera or videotape so that the recording can be the source for analysis.
2.Data analysis
Interview decision will be heard repeatedly to get important information of that interview. This information will be recorded to be analyzed. after that finding from study can created.
Finding
The expectation of the study shows that motivation is important to a leader and the team. This is can proof when the team has the high level of motivation the performance of that team will increase. The motivation can inspires, support n encourage the team members to achieve the goals of team.
